Once upon a time
There was a man named Vernon Rose
He was the toughest S.O.B
What ever broke a nose
He ruled the town of Gum Tree
With a firm and steady hand
And no one made a move
Unless it met with his demands
The people longed for freedom
To be shed of this brute force
But no one dared to stand up to him
Well, that is, of course
Until a stranger came to town
Riding on a turnip truck
He fell off and landed on his head
isn't that the luck?

His name was mighty Dan
And he'd come to set things right
He took old Vernon's hand
And made him see the light
And the Gum Tree folks all cheered
As Dan rode of sight

No one knows how it went down
But Vernon Rose, he changed his tune
Meanwhile a creature
Began to haunt a nearby lagoon
The people called for help
And not one moment too soon
From the west, Dan rode in
To take the fish man by the fin
No one thought that he could win
But he was the mightiest of men

His name was mighty Dan
And he'd come to save the day
He found the creature's aquatic lair
And told it "Everything's okay
Then he stabbed it in the heart
And carved it into filets

The folks of that lagoon
Ate like kings and queens for weeks
The creature was delicious
Especially the cheeks
Dan became their hero
And his reputation spread
But fame rolled off of him
Never made it to his head

Dan's daring deeds grew greater
Everywhere he went
And he never sought reward
Never took a single cent
He whooped some werewolves
In a place called Full Moon Gulch
He fought some living clods of earth
And turned them into mulch

His name was mighty Dan
And he conquered every task
All you had  to do
Was get in touch with him and ask
He was like a superhero
But without the cape and mask
His name was mighty  Dan
He was the mightiest of men
Til he was caught in a metoo moment
And he never worked again
