Yeah, who do you wanna be
When you look in the mirror, who do you see
Is it someone that you like, or someone that you hate
Nah, actually let's start off with me
Now the person I see he is very flawed
But he tries his hardest to give it his all
But he's still afraid of when he's gonna fall
Cause he doesn't quite know how to deal it all

Yeah but he's still tryna learn
He's Always the person to try to put in the work
Doesn't give up cause he wants to be worth
Something in his life so he's down to take a burn
But recently it feels like he's only been getting hurt
Cause after all of the effort he would put behind his words
He doesn't get the credit, so he feels he isn't worth
He always sits alone that is when he feels the worst

That is when he wishes that he were just someone else
But there's gotta be a better way to fix his mental health
So he try's to fit with others but he isn't  himself
And he still gets pushed away, he just cannot find his realm
You think that's sad? Well I think it is too.
But you don't know the half of it because he isn't you
You wouldn't even get it if you listened to the lines

I'm way to afraid of what you'll find
I mean it I swear I'm doing alright

I want to be okay. but I don't hear what they have to say
Even then, they wouldn't get it anyway

But I always end up looking like a fool
Always being used, as if I was a tool
One day eventually I'll drown in the pool
May I be safe from the place I have made
In my brain, where they all play full of hate
Some say I should stay others say to go away
I don't know what they want so I start to decay

Everybody listens to the music not me
Nobody listens to the pain I see
They're more worried how it sounds like I copied
An artist I look up to but that's what got me
To study how to be the best when I'm writing
And when pain comes in I'll know how to fight it
If it came at small amounts, I would be fine then
But It comes in big waves, depression tsunami

Some say I should change, but that isn't what I want
Nothing is the same, why should I try to be one
In a vision you have? Well I think that is lame
I'd rather come in last than race a car I hadn't made
Cause even if I fail I know I can improve
I don't wanna be a product orchestrated under you
This isn't your art, understand that it's mine
And I'm not gonna change so you can be satisfied

He's tried that once, let me tell ya it was rough
Now he tries to really block out others love
Cause he's scared more people will try to give him up

Knows what to do
But he often finds it too hard to make it through
But he keeps on trying, he can't bare to lose
And he hates to help others cause he always feels used

I hardly know what I want
Sometimes you gotta give up
But that doesn't sit with me well
If I did that it would feel like I've failed
You've gotta accept life is hard
You've gotta find a place to start
Once you have found that you're gold
Once you get started you know where to go

I hope it's gonna be fun
I hope I can always do well
I won't make it possible for me to fail
I'm accepting that life is just hard
I already know where to start
It's going to be a long road
But that doesn't matter I know where to go
