Watch: New Singing Lesson Videos Can Make Anyone A Great Singer

Have you ever heard the phrase, you can be anything you want to be? That's because we all have something called potential inside of us, which means we can do great things if we believe in ourselves
Sometimes though, we might have thoughts in our head that hold us back from reaching our full potentials
These thoughts are called limiting beliefs
Limiting beliefs are like dark clouds that cover up the sun

And just like how dark clouds can make the sky look gloomy and grey, limiting beliefs can make our thoughts and feelings gloomy and grey too
But just like how the sun is always shining behind the clouds, our potential is always there, even if we can't see it clearly because of our limiting beliefs
Finally, limiting beliefs are like fences that keep us in one place
Just like how a fence can keep us from exploring new places and seeing new thing, limiting beliefs can keep us from trying new things and reaching our full potential

But just like how we climb over or break down a fence to explore new places, we can always break through our limiting beliefs to reach new heights in our life
Stepping out of our limitation can be a challenging but rewarding process
Here are some key, to help you step out of your limitation
First of all, it identifies your limitation

The first step is to become aware of your limitation
What are the things that hold you back? Is it a lack of confidence, fear of failure, or something else? In Insight, we even have a look deeply about what are the games we are playing and what are the benefits I'm getting out of it
For example, maybe you are playing the victim game to receive attention from others
So a more powerful question could be, what am I pretending not to know? Then the next step will be to challenge your belief

Once you've identified a limiting belief, ask yourself, is it really true? Is there any evidence to support it? Often, our limiting beliefs are based on false assumptions or outdated information
Most of our beliefs have been created before we were old enough to question them
An example would be your parents told you, no, you can't have that, or you can't have everything, when you ask for many toys in the supermarket
And you form then a strong belief that you are undeserving of money or even love

Beliefs can be very subtle and not easy to track, but they represent the 95% of the results you've got in your life
The third step will be reframing your thinking
Replace negative or limiting thoughts with positive and empowering ones
Instead of saying, I can't do this, try saying, I am capable of figuring this out

One very powerful tool that I learned was for each limiting belief, write a list of 10 reasons why this isn't true
For example, let's say that I have a belief that I suck at public speaking, I'm shy
Then I will have a look about 10 reasons why this isn't true
For example, I have a great story, I love sharing powerful and inspiring information

And I can record also of time where I stood up
Your mind is like a compass, it looks at the direction you ask it to focus on
The fourth step is about taking action
The most important step in stepping out of your limitation is to take action

This might involve trying new things, taking risks or seeking out new experiences
Be willing to push yourself and don't be afraid to make mistakes along the way
At the end, reflect on what worked and what didn't
Here is the important thing, listen to the feedback

Most of us are afraid or don't like to receive a negative feedback
But just like a battery has two poles, a positive and a negative, we also need the negative constructive feedback to have corrective action and move towards our goals
The last step is about getting support
Finally, it's important to get support from others

Surround yourself with people who encourage you and support you and seek out mentors or coaches who can help you along the way
Limiting beliefs are often the root cause of many of our self-imposed limitations and struggles in life
Limiting beliefs are essentially negative thoughts or beliefs that we hold about ourselves
Others or the world around us

These beliefs can be formed as a result of past experiences, upbringing, cultural or social conditioning or even the media we consume
The problem with limiting beliefs is that they can hold us back from reaching our full potential and achieving our goals
They can create self-doubt, fear, anxiety and they can prevent us from taking risks or trying new things
With self-awareness, commitment and action, we can move ourselves to a better place and a better identity that will move us closer to our goals

The purpose of life is not to achieve our goals, but to reach out our full potential, becoming the person that matches our goal and experiencing fulfillment
We attract who we are
