On this day of fire, a new age will arrive
Warriors shall gather to crown a chosen one
Marching through paths, into a fiery night
This ritual in fire, shall bring on a new light
They walk the steps that lead to death, summoning some spirits they call
One by one, they know their faith, waiting for time to fall
slowly they walk, bringing on forth, he who is about to die
They wait for the moon, to meet the sun before this human sacrifice
Hear the screams of torture and pain, kicking and yelling he goes
His arms – restrained, begin this offering of blood
On this day of fire, a new era has begun
A priest begins to conjure a faithful crowd
Chanting invoking as ancient spirits rise
He raises a dagger and blood is drawn
Taking his breath, embracing his death, a body is surrounded in smoke
His eyes are closed, his heart is beating faster the knife strikes with one blow
Ripping through muscle, breaking through bone, Ruptured veins screaming in pain
Covered in blood, reach for the heart, He will be one with death!
Starting a fire, lighting an empire, Raise the heart, it is only the start
Off with his head, praise on the dead, a new kingdom looks on ahead
Dressed all in black, dagger in hand
He approaches the new crowned king
Taking his breath, embracing his faith
The king turns to the crowd
There is nothing to fear, a new warrior is here
Watch as he welcomes a new rising sun
This fire will burn, for another's turn to die
They walk the steps that lead to death, summoning some spirits they call
One by one, they know their faith, waiting for time to fall
Slowly they walk, bringing on forth he who is about to be sacrificed
This fire will burn, on the temple's urn
Until the end of time
Night falls, the Earth shakes
Hear the call of the pounding drum
