Today while getting up out of bed
Memories are going through my head
Knew the day was going to be long

It's a cold gray windy Monday morning
Coffee pot stopped without a warning
Flipped the kitchen switch on had no light
Not any thing was working right

Friends stopped by asked me come to church
Knew if I didn't go they'd be hurt
Got to church sit down in the back
Was very nervous and couldn't relax

When the preacher started on his sermon
He was telling me about God's warning
Felt like he was preaching right at me
And told me to get down on my knees
