This is a letter to my firstborn
Here we go
Dear son, I love you so I had to write this letter
Just to tell you you are perfect, you are worthy, it gets better

Don't be listening to people trying to tell you nothing lesser
You were made for something greater and to me you are a blessing
You are strong, you are brave. And I know because I made you
I held you in my womb and watched you go through every phase too

You've always made me proud but it don't count unless you believe too
Forever by your side, your biggest fan cause that's how we do
If you're feeling lost, just pray to God, I swear he hears you
I know it's hard to see the sunshine through but don't you fear, boo

Hard times is what defines you. To yourself always stays true
After every storm that comes, a rainbow, it will find you
So hold your head up high and fix your crown, you are a king, boo
Royalty in your bloodline, they can bend but they can't break you

Patience is a virtue so be patient, God is working and your mothers by your side I swear this pain is for a purpose uhh

This is a letter to my first born
I had to write it

I had to write a letter to my first born
I just need you to hear me
This is a letter to my first born
A mother's letter to her first born

Dear son, you were born strong a heavyweight
so Take this time to recharge yourself and get educated
You've seen a lot growing up, a gift and a curse
Put you ahead of the game but saved you from the worst

Lost many people you love, I know that shit hurts
But God has spared you for a reason, thank the universe
They say that pressure busts pipes but it produces diamonds
That's why when darkness surrounds you, you always come out shining

A born leader, hustle strong enough to change the climate
And now it's time that you evolve, it's time to change your mindset
You are a lion a king in its natural habitat, so dominate the world around you
You were built for that

So when your back's against the wall and when your plate feels heavy
remember I am by your side and I will help you carry it
Never faking, never folding, it ain't in your nature
Always believe in yourself, I know that you can make it

Still believe when you can't see because that's what faith is
And trouble ain't gonna last long, it's here to test your patience
Trials endure, perseverance then is liberating
And I'll forever have your back, son, I'm forever praying

This is a letter to my first born
I had to write it
I had to write a letter to my first born
I just need you to hear me

This is a letter to my first born
A mother's letter to her first born
Listen up
Dear son, you are born strong a heavy weight

I just had to write you this letter because I need you to know
I need you to understand you are strong
So fix your crown
That can bend, but they can't break you

Believe in yourself
You gonna make it
I love you, son
