Do you remember the high school halls,
the intercom would tell us the deal;
like that book 1984.

Fumbling with my books, I look up,
and see this girl,
as she's walking by,
with her friends.
Oh man she was something else.

High school.

Soccer fields on an early Fall day.
Smell of fresh grass, white lines across the green.
Looking back I would never want to get away.

High school.

Janitors polishing the floor in the night,
started before basketball practice ended.

Next day,
getting together with your friends.
The smell of food in the cafeteria.

Variety night in the gym on a special eve.
Crickets chiming on a summers night.
We all felt so alive.
