Ten years ago in my mother's house
When I was still living at home
I became a salmon
I left home with the whole shoal
We were running by the shore
Against the current
We were hundreds of these fish
We were looking for some place
To live in peace

In about four years or ten
I lost more than half of my friends
Some they found some peace I guess
Some they lost their lives, their selves
Some got tired, decided not to give birth this year
In four more years or maybe ten
I was still running by the shore
Against the current.
I looked back to find my shoal
But this place had not one soul
Neither water
I kept running, I kept climbing
I kept looking for this heaven place on earth

In four more years or maybe ten
I reached the last place on earth
But not the heaven
It was full of rocks and clouds
You could see no birds or cows
Not one tree
There were humans watching me
They were four or maybe ten
And I was one, not one of them

I started running to the cliff

They catched me right before I fly
Immobilised my body
Why?

They builded bricks around my skin
Impaled my feet right on that cliff
And left me there
To watch the clouds above me

In four more years or maybe ten
My mother woke me up in bed
Since then
I'm running by the shore
Against the current
