Rex is an American Indie rock band formed in 1994 (though an early version of the band was formed in 1991). Rex was considered one of the most important and influential slowcore bands and released three albums and one EP on Southern Records, as well as a collaboration with Red Red Meat (under the name Loftus) on Perishable Records. Members included Doug Scharin (who was also a member of Codeine, HiM, and June of 44), Curtis Harvey (Pullman), and Phil Spirito (Orso). more »

Whoa you can’t walk straight if your walking sideways cause sideways aint the straightest way to walk.   I was walking to the local bar just to have a beer. Thought it was a good idea to grab a mug of cheer.   I pulled the handle on the door, but found myself at a grocery store, I thought I was walking straight, but I was walking sideways.   So I went walking down the aisles looking for a 6-pak. Grumpy old clerk pointed and said they were way in back. Oh oh   So I went down and took a left turn, I found myself at the bathroom urn. I thought I was walking straight, but I was walking sideways.   You can’t walk straight if you’re walking sideways. No you can’t walk straight if you’re walking sideways.   Oh no you can’t walk straight if you’re walking sideways. Cause sideways aint the straightest way to walk.   So I decided to exit out the stores back door. Thought I’d go find that local bar I was looking for before.   But much to my dismay, I found myself in the alleyway. Oh I thought I was walking straight, but I was walking sideways.   So I walked out to the street and looked both ways. Saw a big black dog and a couple of cat strays oh no         Then darkness I discovered, cause I fell in a hole without a manhole cover. I thought I was walking straight, but I was walking sideways whoa.   Well you can skip, hop, or dozy doe, stride long, short, or heel to toe. But you can’t walk straight if you’re walking sideways.   You can’t walk straight if your walking sideways, cause sideways aint the straightest way to walk   So I climbed out of the manhole to find the sidewalk. Pulled off my old boots and found a hole in my sock.   So I went looking for a clothing store, but found that bar I was looking for. I thought I was walking straight but I was walking sideways Whoa wee!   Well you can skip, hop, or dozy doe, stride long, short, or heel to toe. But you can’t walk straight if you’re walking sideways   So if sideways is your walk of fate, you gotta know you won’t walk straight. Cause you can’t walk straight if you’re walking sideways.     Side way aint the straight, sideways aint the straightest way to walk.
