When Subconscious Lee awoke,
Just lied in bed wasting the day away.
The clock said, "Time to go now!"
But Lee said, "Please, sir wait."
And the pillows whispered in his ears, "Stay!"
When Subconscious Lee decided,
To wander deeper into the cave,
Searching for the light,
In the darkest of places.
He came upon a chest,
Inside a mirror,
Showed his skin melt off his face,
Before it shattered!
And fell and turned to liquid!
And vanished without a trace!
And Lee looked toward the light at the end of the tunnel,
And he screamed, "Wait!"
Subconscious Lee woke up from bed to see,
All over his arms and legs were mountains and rivers and trees.
Wildfires burning his forests to the ground.
While strangers from all over try to help put it out.
When Subconscious Lee found that mirror again,
And he tried to see,
The face that he remembered,
Usually seeing,
Lee only saw into the sky,
Cloudy but full of meaning,
And the stars shining bright
As the days turn to evenings.
Subconscious Lee looked for his family,
But started to see,
Out of all his children's eyes,
Simultaneously.
Because the love in our memories,
Like water will never die.
Just keep flowing along,
Trying to keep the knowledge alive.
