We locked eyes for the first time
For a moment the world froze; it was just you and I
We danced to the rhythm of the heartbeat
You placed your hand on my chest and pulled on my heartstrings
Electricity flowing through my system
I held you in my arms for those hours; I miss them
Because just like that you were gone
Now I'm left to grieve, learning how to breathe; how to move on
What was once reality is now a memory

It was the last time staring into that pair of eyes
Last breath on that hospital bed; now I'm paralyzed

Life together was an adventure; a rushing flow
But death brought a crushing blow
