Thomas stood and stared in unbelief
For what he heard, he could not conceive
He'd seen him hanging on the tree
He never would forget what he had seen

Though he saw him feed the thousands
He'd watched him heal the lame
Seen him walk on water
And raise the dead by a command
He saw all these wonders
But what he hadn't seen I guess
Is with a heart a man believes
And with his mouth he will confess

He said unless I can see with my own eyes
And thrust my hand into his pierced side
Or place my finger in his nail scarred hand
I never will believe he arose again

The Lord came again and he believed
Jesus said it's because you have seen
But blessed are those who believe
Even though they have never seen

I never seen the thousands
Or watched him heal the lame
Nor saw him walk on water
And raise the dead by a command
I never saw these wonders
But I know that he still lives
And with my heart I do believe it
And with my mouth I will confess
