You fought to save our faith

As I watched you both go
Beyond the dry horizon

You fought just like your grandfather
With vigor and valour
Two grandsons of God's lion
As I waited by the door
Abbas he told me, Your sons

Unable to fight on the sands

These martyrs of the land
Oh Son of Fatimah

My two most precious treasures

When I saw your precious bodies
After they trampled your chests
Your lips were blue from thirst
Crushed flowers laid to rest
My heart cried in sorrow
For this tribulating test
My two beautiful angels
With our Lord you shall be blessed

Your memories live on
This I made sure of
For you sacrificed so much
Even though you were still young
My children died for Allah
Were the praises that I sung
Alongside my Hussayn
I made sure they knew your names

When I returned to Medina
And I saw your empty beds
My heart shattered apart
For you both had went ahead
Oh my flowers of the earth
These endless tears I shed
My beautiful Allah
Take care of them in my stead

My two brave lions
Say salaams to your grandfather
Take care of your uncles
And hug my dearest mother
Go be with our Prophet
And return to our Creator
For you both are shining moons
We will reunite real soon

My flowers fully bloomed
