By hating non-believers so I routed
To a different path of success I was once lost but now I founded 
I grew bigger like a seed that had just sprouted from the soil

The shy tall kid with braces back in elementary 
High school I was quite cool fresh cut with some nice shoes
Flirt with girls I like ooh they know I'm that fly dude
Now I'm make up my rules creating songs that I write too 
On the stage I recite too prepared like jobs I apply too 
However during these hard times I get terminated 
To be featured for music events it's hurting ain't it
Crazy some people wouldn't let me get a chance to shine
Inspired by artists in my city I stand aside
Watch them do they thang they way above me 
Never been the jealous type I wanna see them succeed
Competition is nothing I just gotta believe
Building myself with strength everyday of the week 
I try hardest when I'm battling never kind hearted
I feel like I am more dependant than a signed artist 
It ain't easy but luckily I got a team with me
Photographers directors and producers that believe in me
Stuck in this position of struggling I revisit 
I talk about it and live it and put on a rhyme and spit it
No matter what beats per minute you know I can come and rip it
But nowadays it seems like I don't get enough recognition 
Reminiscing on how I be at poetry slams
Felt disappointed when the judges scored low for me man
Am I not deep enough for you to understand what I go through
On a daily basics expressing it socially man
Yeah I slip up on my memorization, and use my notepad
Want me to be perfect but I try my best you know that
I stand up like a soldier when I talk about my Blackness
Giving actual factness just notice me fam
Everybody is different just like my rhyming skills
After releasing my anger out it's time to chill 
Got my mind on mil so I'm a grind for real
A crowd bigger than arenas' what I like to fill
Gotta keep my head up avoid having a grim mood
Outta control slowing my roll like I been screwed
Take heed of this song and the work that I issued
