Black Ace

Black Ace was the most frequently used stage name of the American Texas blues musician born Babe Kyro Lemon Turner (December 21, 1905 – November 7, 1972), who was also known as B. K. Turner, Black Ace Turner, Babe Turner and Buck Turner. He was born in Hughes Springs, Texas, and was raised on his family's farm. He taught himself to play guitar and performed in east Texas from the late 1920s on. In the early 1930s he began playing with Smokey Hogg and Oscar "Buddy" Woods, a lap steel guitarist. Turner then bought a National resonator guitar and began playing what a later music critic called "Hawaii meets the Delta."In 1937, Turner recorded six songs (possibly with Hogg as second guitarist) for Decca Records in Dallas, including the blues song "Black Ace". I'm at the base of a mountain, it's time to ascend
Am i strong enough to walk this path to the end?
My feet are steady and heart beats fast
With every step i take, i'm leaving my past
Higher!
The struggle to survive!
Soul on fire!
I'll keep my fire alive! (i'm alive!)
I will push through the hardships!
I will never back down!
Soon i'll climb to the summit
I'll be there, and claim my crown!
I'll climb to the summit
Where the sky is so grand
I am the king of this mountain
With the world in my hand
With the world in my hand
I have no time to spend
I'm gonna climb and gonna fight until the end!
I'll keep climbing higher, i'll never look back
I'll fight for my dreams, i'll stay on the track!
With every step i take i gain new strength
I'll climb to the top no matter the length!
Higher!
The struggle to survive!
Soul on fire!
I'll keep my fire alive! (still alive!)
I will push through the hardships!
I will never back down!
Soon i'll climb to the summit
I'll be there, and claim my crown!
I'll climb to the summit
Where the sky is so grand
I am the king of this mountain
With the world in my hand
So i'm at the top, a long way behind
The sun is so bright that i'm almost blind
It's the end of the line but my soul wants more
Cause i still haven't found what i'm looking for
My summit is empty, i'm going down
I don't want to be king! i threw away my crown!
I need a fight! i need more fun!
So i leave this mountain to find another one!
I will push through the hardships!
I will never back down!
Soon i'll climb to the summit
I'll be there, and claim my crown!
I'll climb to the summit
Where the sky is so grand
I am the king of this mountain
With the world in my hand
I will push through the hardships!
I will never back down!
Soon i'll climb to the summit
I'll be there, and claim my crown!
I'll climb to the summit
Where the sky is so grand
I am the king of this mountain
With the world in my hand
