Recently I've had a lot of loss in my life
A lot of people that I've loved
A lot of things I loved to do gone

Last night I was thinking

I know those the ones that I just can't erase
Like when you write on a paper
And now it's just kinda faint
You can't see it but it's still there yeah i can kinda relate

It's like my problems of life
the ones I call a mistake
But their not my fault
For me it's just an easy escape
To say that I did them
Because I'm scared to be fake

Because blaming other people
Makes you a target for someone to hate

I learned that the hard way throughout my  very short life
That speaking your opinion can really really shorten your time
And when we live in a world where all we want to do is to strive
Putting tape over your mouth is now the only key to survive?

Now that don't make since to me
But nothing anymore ever does
I kinda stopped caring after I lost my favorite cuz

Her name was Serena
And she was only 15
But she took her life
Because people told her she'll never be
Who she wanted to be
And I hate my self everyday for not checking in
See how she was doing
See how life her has actually been
I feel like I could of been the change of what happened that afternoon
I could of seen her smile again and heard that laugh that everyone knew
I wish you didn't have to go
I wish I never got that call
That you were gone and you were dead
On the slide of our childhood park
The tears in my eyes could of filled up a bar

And the heat that I felt in my body would of broke the thermometer
It's been four years and I still carry around your name
Like how you used to carry me when I was just a little baby

Okay so
I must admit I wasn't always a saint
I did some really wrong things when I was lost in my day
I wasn't the nicest and I was always lost in haze
I made a lot of people feel bad cause of things I would say
And honestly I was hurt from my past I just didn't have a way
To say
How I felt so it just turned everything into rage
And I heard about this God that I was always afraid
Wouldn't take me in because I that felt I couldn't ever change
So I'd hate everyone around me who would ever push me to church
But it was the very decision that saved me from being blood on a shirt
I went through rough times that most don't know
It was very close to being the end of my road
Yeah
I didn't have anyone at least that's how I felt
Because I was too scared to reach out and belt
About how felt
So I just held it all in yeah
And bottled it up
But one day it started to leak and it all felt out

I found myself in my room
With my cat and a knife
And I looked into his eyes as
I was about to end my own life
I saw my reflection of my Bible gifted by my side
I turned to open the page and
It was 2nd Corinthians 12:9
That verse saved me from ending my life
It gave me so much strength to get passed all the strife
I love God so much for what he did for me that day
That night

Recently my prayers have all fallin in line
From being saved to finding the meaning of my own life
I thank Him everyday for looking past my mistakes
He saw the real me and all the pain that was stuck on my face
I know Serena would of loved to see if I finally got saved
I know she's up there looking
