I made my debut
Toy Story, the internet
Windows 95 were new
I quickly learned this world
Was a complicated place
Learned about this American dream
Something I could chase
In 2005, I started

American Idol gave me hopes
Work hard, get good grades

But in 2015 I noticed
A big divide
Disrespect, distrust
People choosing sides
If the conflict isn't real
The consequences are
Debt crisis, inflation
Chinese takeover aren't far
And this is why
I'm a fed up American
I am angry
It's about my future

This land of opportunity
Was once a great tale
But with a divided country I've been

That was really strange

Showed us we need change
