I can see that you're wandering, lost on your way to me
Hear your thoughts, you're still pondering if this life is the place to be
But, baby, lift your eyes up, take a breath, let's assess the scene
Find joy in the steps you take 'cause they lead to a blessed dream

We're gonna get there
We're gonna get here
I'll see you when you get here
I'll see you when you get there

Yeah, voice from beyond, poised to savant
You were called to be here, purpose to God
By your hands you built kingdoms, moved mountains and stars
Engineered to withstand, walk away with no scars
Never worry, take it day to day, no need to hurry
You may think it's foreign ground, but this whole world your territory
Be the king you've always been and not for honor or for glory
But so one day when they read it back, they'll understand the story

And when the pain is never-ending, that's all a part of growth
You build endurance up, don't sweat it
You're not breaking, you're just bending
And when no one's by my side, expect it to get lonely
It don't stay that way, eventually, you know who down to ride
But I feel so out of place, just move at your own pace
Let the world catch up to you, but when they do, extend some grace
You're a marvel of a being, they don't recognize your face
Let them know you by your presence and respect you by your name

You're gonna get there
You're gonna get here
I'll see you when you get here
I'll see you when you get there
You're gonna get there
You're gonna get here
I'll see you when you get here
I'll see you when you get there

I see myself as like this shining beam on a hill
That's watching my other self come to me
And I'm seeing everything that they're gonna go through
In order to get to where I am, in order to get here
You're gonna go through a lot of things and you're gonna have to withstand
And you're gonna have to put your head down and really understand
That this is a, life is a journey, and you're gonna get here

You're gonna reach the point that you are hoping to right now
And there's gonna be moments and lapses of judgement and things that you
Are gonna come across that will not always connect
And it's not gonna make sense, you're gonna feel lonely
You're gonna feel like you're, there's no one with you
Because you're leading the pack
And when you're in front of the pack there is no one beside you
Everyone's behind you
So let them catch up
