He's scheming

Bananas bring out the worst in we apes
As we hoard them, they rot upon the ground
For it doesn't matter what's on the tapes
If the stewards reject the screeching sound
Disaster is the price that we must pay
We do nothing until a crisis dawns
And I guess that is just the human way
Though it feels we're just like a bunch of pawns
If there's one thing that I have sadly learned
It's that people cannot be trusted now
For they just sat and laughed while their world burned
And looking back, I still cannot see how
Though evolution gave us many gifts
It also gave us limits we ignore
And in this case, ignorance isn't bliss
When the dragon is breaking down the door
