I can't believe I just died

We got gas and decided to just go home
Remember, it just got quiet cause I was in a bad mood
I wanted to be left alone
We pulled out of the gas station and I was on my phone
And then, oh shit
We got in a car accident, didn't we
When I was alive, I felt like a ghost
Nobody could see me
Now I'm really walking around like one
I made my way back home and all I can see is my family crying
My girl was crying, laying in our bed
And I laid right next to her
And I swear she felt my presence
Cause she looked in my direction
But then fell asleep the next second

My funeral they're dressed in nothing but black
As I'm standing right there, people are saying, please come back
I look at them right in the eyes
I see nothing but pain and regret
Cause we never talked and you know that
So now you're upset
If I was alive, I would've reached out to you
There was so much unsaid
But we were both stubborn and now it's too late cause I'm dead
None of this makes sense
My life came and went too fast
I spent most of my days regretting my fucked up past
I didn't appreciate every single one of those moments with my family
Now my mom is sitting there feeling nothing but agony
Her only son, her heart is breaking
My dad too
He deals with anxiety
He can't stop shaking
I don't get it
Where are the people I used to call my friends
Damn, guess we wasn't that close
Instead of mourning my death, I got people here fighting over who loved me the most
Like none of ya'll was there for me when I was at my lowest
God knows
My girl was the only one there for me
She deserves everything I own
It's because of you I got this far
Now all I see is stone
I tried my best to impact this world while I was alive
It's sad because I left without feeling truly satisfied
I've been away for a while
Talking to God and my family
I'm sorry I missed your birthday
I see you've settled down
You're finally doing okay
I'm happy for you but I can see you still miss me
I wish I could be there so you could kiss me
Tell me how much you love me
I guess since I died people have been posting pictures
Saying how great I was and how I stood for the bigger picture
When I was alive and going through it they never reached out
Everybody treated me the same
Nobody wanted to hang out
Talking behind my back when I was alive
Now they talking to my girl trying to get inside
It's sad finally coming around after I just died
I hear these stories about how much they respected me
And how close they were with me
I may be gone but I'll haunt you for saying things like that
Don't play with me
That energy was nowhere to be found when I was alive
I spent my whole life wanting to be loved
But they only showed love to you after you died
It's messed up
