When you visited Georgetown we'd walk around M Street
Its half-Southern, half-colonial, boutique-lined streets
Key Bridge standing in the distance like a castle's gate over the heart of the Potomac
The sun melting into its purple shadow
Glints of pink, glints of orange
A little high, a little buzzed, the summer night cool and comfortable
The air still
You made the same remark repeatedly
Georgetown looks like a movie set
It's too nice, too well-designed to seem real
Darling, I did not say, you're describing my entire life
