Hello how you doing
I'm sure my name is unimportant
I'm just wondering the ways that all your views have been distorted
'Cause I'm of the firm belief that all the culture that you building
In these four walls is determined by theology you wielding
I searched you on the web and all I managed to see
Was a copy and pasted statement that it looked like you retrieved
From another place that I've seen and hope to never see again
So just disarm me of my trust issues and tell me on a whim
If you at least stick to the word on what's primary and what's true
'Cause I'm trying to obey the scripture where the author says I lose
If I start to make life decisions to separate from the saints
So I'm trying to stay inside this building just long enough to think of reasons
I shouldn't walk out before benediction is done
Because I've been battling Satan in my flesh about this gun
Gun of fear and skepticism that is holstered in my heart
And it stays ready to shoot when I think nonsense bout to start
Promise I'm trying to be real humble as I look into the text
But I can never just ignore the signs and walk into some mess
So I'm asking is there just one leader or is there many men
Because my 50 cent is scripture gives us ways to comprehend
The plural and the congregation function as the operand
And spirit be the operator and he has a perfect plan
I don't care if you Pentecostal Baptist or AME
I searched the scriptures and there's just some places we need to agree
Manifesto

Can I help you catch the purpose of my deep incessant need
To walk inside this church with clarity so my mind can be freed
My appetite was spoiled by communities presented deep
But ain't interrogate the depths of their ecclesiology
And all the harm that it can breed when church order is just ignored
Mishandling all the scriptures for reasons that just distort
Was Paul talking to churches or just one person when he'd exhort
Everyone to remember Christ and they'd do well if they'd report
If everything just went awry and some congregants started tripping
'Cause they believed that the church was a vital part of the mission
It wasn't their own to shape or subject to their own traditions
Because everything at stake was too precious to harm the witness so

Is this church reflective
Is communion in the sentence of the answer
If I ask you what's the way you do remembrance
Are the pastors in the plural all equal when no one lifted
Do they confess when they sinning when they meet
Are they relentless in their prayers and in their living
Is the scripture still the litmus
Do the saints practice repentance and willing to go the distance
With each other till it's vivid that the person ain't no Christian
I don't care if you got music that can make a mood be shifted
If your leader masquerade unchecked just cause they know they gifted
And the saints encourage everything except some holy Christians
And I know I've talked a lot but I'm just wondering did you listen
Then the lady interrupted me and said
Hey we're committed to the faithful teaching of the scriptures
And we try our best but if you walking in as the rubric
Then we won't pass the test
I understand you've been abused in ways that make you feel uncertain
But we striving towards the mark meaning we won't always be perfect
I need you to know you'll meet a bunch of people like yourself
And though you're right about the Bible
Put your pride up on the shelf because someone will sin against you
If you make the hard decision to come into this community
You just have to bear with them
So don't think we're like a prison
Just think we're another pasture
With a few leaders that understand that Jesus is the pastor ultimately
So just ponder all the ways your posture's wrong
As you go to the coffee bar and sing the lyrics of this song
'Cause I don't care if you Baptist Pentecostal or AME
I welcome you back to the saints
Because we've been made to agree
That Jesus Christ the only creed
And scripture from his mouth was breathed
So you don't need to be elite
But you just need to take your seat
'Cause I love you and want to share my life with you
Since we've received the open door
To walk into a life where Jesus on a tree
Made us into a family
And we gone help you run this race
So let us be a help to you
So you can see his grace is the manifesto
