Shades of White

Shades of white are colors that differ only slightly from pure white. Variations of white include what are commonly termed off-white colors, which may be considered part of a neutral color scheme or yellow that looks like brown. In color theory, a shade is a pure color mixed with black (or having a lower lightness). Strictly speaking, a "shade of white" would be a neutral grey. This article is also about off-white colors that vary from pure white in hue, and in chroma (also called saturation, or intensity). Colors often considered "shades of white" include cream, eggshell, ivory, Navajo white, and vanilla. Even the lighting of a room, however, can cause a pure white to be perceived as off-white.Off-white colors were pervasively paired with beiges in the 1930s… more »

Thought I was a Libertarian
Equal rights for all
Happy to support a cause
No matter what it's worth

Thought I liked a bit of anarchy
Two fingers to authority
Empathy for the downtrodden
Giving voice to the forgotten

Two steps right
Not a fight that I wanna be a part of
Leaning left
It's bereft of any so called social justice
It's filled with privilege

Standing up for equal opportunities
It's all fair game
Are we not all the same
What are the obstacles

Choose a time way back in history
Pick you atrocity
Can you decide on who to blame
Follow the ancestry

Two steps right
Not a fight that I wanna be a part of
Leaning left
It's bereft of any so called social justice

Tell me - whose the loudest
Voices - who is shouting
Choices - fading quickly
Take my chance, won't join this dance
I'm done - tolerated
For so long - losing patience
No more - keeping quiet
Take my chance won't join this dance

Two steps - to the right
Two steps - to the right
Passing centre ground it seems
Don't look back it's lost its head
Snake swallow your tail

Moral guidance, lost in finance
Despite the aims, lost in the gains
Raised awareness, asking fairness
No problem there, it's good to share
At what price inclusiveness
Point blame at privilege
Keep fires burning at whose expense
Empty plates at the table
Feeding on discontent
Keep preaching animosity

Moral guidance, so satanic
So puritan, what would you change
Squeaky clean now, shit don't stink now
Time to perform, oh so reformed
The dead can't give answers
Or face the wrath of of your discontent
No, your contempt
Reputations are raped by filter screened histories
Paid industries, that's paved with gold

Tell me - whose the loudest
Voices - who is shouting
Choices - fading quickly
Take my chance, won't join this dance
I'm done - tolerated
For so long - losing patience
No more - keeping quiet
Take my chance won't join this dance

Two steps - to the right
Two steps - to the right
Passing centre ground it seems
Don't look back it's lost its head
Snake swallow your tail
