I'm bothered
Ia m bothered by boys who say they have fathers,
These fathers live in the same home and these fathers don't bother
To check on these boys and the boys say don't care
They don't care
But If they don't care then that will be cool
Then they'll have a story to tell and that will be cool

They are hiding it and really crying for their father to bother
Cause life is harder without that father
So I cry out to my father who formed them in the womb
And some are babied by mamas like they still in the womb
Cause if fathers was here they'll be like "boy clean up your room"

See what I am saying...

But yet these teens are stuck in a tomb, not able to mature,
Their life stinks like manure
Who's gon teach them that life is a tour, we are on active duty
Some know there's more but they're hurt and sore, looking for just an a open door,
who they really can be, the man a man, just some identity

Really you see

God, you form them then why aren't they with father who bothers
Some wish they where bother by legacy of honor
By a father who was martyred.
The ocean can't tell you how many waves went by
But the wave can tell how many oceans it's ride,
It's rode streams til the well went dry,
Life is hard and long like  Houston to Beijing
And that son's story that bothers
Who don't know his father it's harder for his mom to stay clean
In the classroom he daydreams
About a better life

I'm just saying what I know, you feel me

I know a kid who doesn't know his father
So I bother to teach him about the carver,
Who's purpose driven and not a parker,
And let him know he outta be somebody great to run the race and not a squatter
So harder it's going to get, and get and larger (pause)
Boulders are going to fit in the path but I can be like Coach Carter,
Teach him to be wiser and smarter,
Encouraged by the potter
You started off with pressures that's hotter
Then most but God's not just here to spot ya but bother
You til one day you're a great father.

So I said nothing.
Then he look into the future and many roads seemed grey.
He saw a narrow road  with light and knew that was the way
So I prayed and he prayed.
Seeing the arrows given directions. begin walking the path with protection.
The man on one side
The fan on the other
The fan me was me, i was just his brother
And the man the Man of God, the Son of God
Couldn't be nothing but God

So if you was once like me thinking, "it ain't your business."
You probably thought, "Why should I get in this?"
"Why should I ask?" "Why should I bother?"
I'm here to let you know you otta
Cause she is wanting her father
And if she can't get this then she'll take any father
Someone who can make her feel like a daughter
There's many tutors but not a enough fathers
Someone who can help him charter
The many storm, carry to the next stage, charter
We know the fiery darts are coming, lava
She wants to grow to a butterfly from the lava
The fatherless could energize, java
Get them connect like the internet, java
Til we are all back with the father
