Hyphen

The hyphen ‐ is a punctuation mark used to join words and to separate syllables of a single word. The use of hyphens is called hyphenation. Son-in-law is an example of a hyphenated word. The hyphen is sometimes confused with dashes (figure dash ‒, en dash –, em dash —, horizontal bar ―), which are longer and have different uses, or with the minus sign −, which is also longer and more vertically centred in some typefaces. Although hyphens are not to be confused with en dashes, there are some overlaps in usage (in which either a hyphen or an en dash may be acceptable, depending on user preference, as discussed below). In addition, the hyphen often substitutes for the en dash elsewhere in informal writing. As an orthographic concept, the hyphen is a single entit… more »

I'm still feeling that the fact is
I'm nothing more than average
And there are others out there to give you the satisfaction
I'm not saying that I'm worthless but I'm certainly not worth it
If you can find a better place to be just make sure to write me when you go
Feeling my time here is lesser
Taking my time just to miss her
Putting my heart in a blender
For what it's worth
I still cherish when we made love in the drive-thru
Winter's stealing our time from the summer
Meant it when I said that I loved her
But that love was cursed and now
I'm still singing songs here about you
Know that I'm better off here without you
Am I manic or depressive?
I guess that's just what stress is
Or am I a fucking nutjob that's way too far gone?
I'm not sure about the answer
I know I'm just a cancer
On the company that I have kept for twenty-seven
Agonizing years
You said
You said
Things are better it doesn't matter
You said
You said
It's the summer, don't be a loser
Drop dead
Regret
If it's worth it, you'll come and find me I'm gone
Feeling my time here is lesser
Taking my time just to miss her
Putting my heart in a blender
For what it's worth
I still cherish when we made love in the drive-thru
Winter's stealing our time from the summer
Meant it when I said that I loved her
But that love was cursed and now
I'm still singing songs here about you
Know that I'm better off here without you
