Sat with my anger, here's what it said
This porcelain heart took shape cuz you chose them
And then
you're out of breath again
You're running circles mad
Handed your strength away
And now you want it back
Now you want it back
Now you want it back

Gone are the times of feeling victimized
By the choice you made to put your worth inside (your worth inside)
The hands, the hearts, the minds of those
Who mishandle your presence because they can't hold their own (they can't hold their own)

Sat with my bitterness, here's what it said
Forgive yourself for wanting to be chosen
And then
You're out of breath again
You gave from secret lack
They took a piece of it
Back then I wanted that
Then I wanted that
Then I wanted that

Gone are the times of feeling victimized
By the choice you made to put your worth inside
The hands, the hearts, the minds of those
Who mishandle your presence because they can't hold their own (they can't hold their own)

Now you want it back
Now you want it back
Now you want it back
Now you want it back
