And as I spoke to Death, I asked them one more time

I looked over to God, and they just looked away
Even it couldn't face me

With eternity, roaming this empty Ocean

The buildings we arrived at were made of ash
I put my hand out towards one and it crumbled within it
I looked back at the silhouette in black and it just stood there
You did this, you burned down this birch
I screamed
There was something after Death, it was me
I ran back to their ship but it faded through me, an apparition of what it once was
How could I tell them that it wasn't me
That I was kidnapped by this faceless monstrosity
How can I tell them that I didn't want it to come this fast
That I didn't mean to say those things, to be so cruel
That I meant to amend my actions, before I was gone?
Pushing through the ashen city, the petrified forest follows
Snakes burrow through the ground, sifting through the charred grass
All displaying my purpose

The Black Tree towers over
Entering it, it shows me
I am there, my death bed
And so is everyone else
They look at me and they smile, yet cry
Are they relieved
I would be
Death didn't kill me, I did it myself
Death only comes twice
Once for you, and twice for them
I fall into the tree and descend through the sky
Arriving at my house, I look at myself, my family
It was time, yet it wasn't
I wasn't ready, but I am now
Take me God, and pass me down
I must live every life
I must burn every birch
