Our beautiful lifeboat, spinning her way
Through the limitless void black as ink
Her passengers bicker while the smoke, it gets thicker
All the while we know she may sink
But profits they drive us, though none may survive us
And those who would lead, ebb and flow

Once there was rhyme, a more innocent time
When we thanked her for what she would bear
Now life exits un-noted, silent, demoted
We never even knew they were there
We just carry on burning, conferring, adjourning

Mother nature, she's stronger, she's been around longer
And she won't shed a tear when we've gone

It's been taught to us over the years
Yet the ice rivers vanish, their majesty banished
Beauty we won't see again

And she won't even charge for the fuel
