That's until I found His people
Who truly live by what He says
I came as I was
And they still showed me love
Reached out a helping hand
I could hear His Holy Spirit
Talkin to me from them
Somethin that I won't forget
For as long as I live
He pulled me out the pit, with
Loyal love and faithfulness
Undeserved kindness
He continues to express
Though, when I'm doin wrong
Best believe I'm disciplined
That's another form of love
And I'm thankful for it
Though admittedly
At the time, it's not so pleasant
Afterwards it truly is
As we bear fine fruits
That benefit repentance
It enables us to see
How beautiful life truly is
