If I'm one of you then I want to receive
Some human kindness from my human kind
Something to hold as we go down into that cold

And all the life savers
Nurses and surgeons, paramedics and doctors
Lunch ladies, musicians and firemen, lifeboat crews
Librarians, teachers, search and rescue
All the life savers, lollipop ladies
Can't save us now

And our pleasure in gardening, food and each other
Our happiness and children, our sweet children
Sunsets and dawns, landscapes and trees
Lakes and rivers and all life in the seas
It's all going down

Please humans let's put difference aside
If we get this wrong now we go out with this tide
Another life form that flourished and died
Well at least we can say that we were sometimes kind
