To get it right it was like twenty-eighteen
There's not much that your boy can't handle
But homie was caught up in a love triangle
Now Nat One I had feelings for a while

Later down the line I found she was reciprocating
But she was hesitating wasn't ready for relations
I was like bet

But on the other side Nat Two was checking me
It was a change of pace we were already friendly

I liked her energy we went and saw a movie
She had a cute nose banging bod she was a beauty
I thought we had a great time I never dated a cutie
So when she dropped me you could say it did confuse me

And then she confessed that she was hung up on her ex
I was depressed there was not much that could be done
After that stretch I was right back at square one
Nevertheless Nat Two wanted back in the cockpit
She hatched a plan to lock lips in the costume closet
It was awkward but what was there to lose
We talked about the last year and she saw my point of view
So we shut lights and shut eyes and then we smooched
And then she said

She pulls me aside and confesses her feelings then

Well then Nat One and I start dating
She explains the situation and Nat Two started hating
I think that the two of them were already beefing
So add this to it and the tears started streaming

At long last love it was a hectic journey
But a little thing in twenty-twenty made us end it early
I was in my bag plenty I won't sit here and pretend
Of course when I get a girlfriend that is when the world ends
I hoped we could give being friends a try
That ended when I find she started seeing another guy
Right after I was hurt I asked why
We were supposed to stay inside you said you were taking time
I confided in you I cried I tried to take it in stride
But we talked and she promptly denied it and she lied

My senior year came with its own challenges
I gave up on the romance I wasn't chasing after it
But if it happened naturally, who was I to say no

Nat Two approaches and we become friends
I told myself I wasn't doing this again
But in the aftermath of Nat One I needed help
Nat Two says she was finally happier with herself
She said she grew a lot and she actually apologized
I knew I shouldn't have gone for it but man was I love-deprived
Things were going well we went on a date that didn't blow
We ended up kissing slow until she had to go
I was coming out of my funk maybe things were getting better yo
But as you already know that was a solid no
That was the last time I saw either of them
I crashed right back into the hole I was in
And like that our story is over
I told you full disclosure I'm kind of a loner
So what's the lesson here
What's the story at it's core
To show love even if one's been hurt before
But we've entered a culture where pain's become a war
So we tally up the score and we seek to hurt some more
And even if we swore to not make others feel the same
For some it's only the way to subjugate the pain
