Headphones on, sun is out, as I walk to town

We leave in town, there's four of us in the car
But the driver seen a nigga he owed
So we filled the open space and made a placement
He rolled the window down, lit a cigarette
As we left on the journey to our destination

I was on the phone, steady planning birthday celebrations
Something felt wrong, like that's a corner, why you be accelerating
As I lift my head up, I see the car climbing on the pavement

Damn, and all I recall is the shades of the green and brown
So I'm guessing it's the leaves of the trees and the ground
My body bounced and hit the roof and everything went blurry

But still remembered everything from when my conscious got back
Driver bleeding through his mouth, gramps in the front seat, lights out
Brodie flew, right out the window, out the car

Though he ain't far, he alive, he ain't dead
Though he kinda broke his neck, I'm a wreck, sent mama texts
She called me back, no surprise, she was crying
She calling while she driving, tried to tell her that I'm fine

She probably thought I'm dying
And I'm just glad that it grazed me
And I'm just glad that you know you can't replace me
And this is do or die

But I'm just glad that I am still alive
