These colored blossoms are all opening
And reaching out for light
Even then when I was sowing seeds
Down came the breath of life
And when white petals fell in sheets
Sprouts push through with all their might
To welcome an early spring

Sun smiles and blankets all of us
But wind still won't agree
It's heart is icy still like some of us
Thought some get along for easily
But me, I've waited for those rays
To overpower a winter breeze

Invisible to look upon
