The mountains sang with secrets
And I found
I was Gwion Bach
But now I'm
The Bard
Taliesin, they call me
They hail my great name
Tried many paths
But they all led me back to this
Harp slung on my back
And I am Here

They sing in harmonies so wild and strange
I'm not the man I thought I was
When I was young
She ran after me
Gave birth to salmon
Swam upstream
But now I'm here
You can't pin me down
I'm like priestesses
Telling all those prophecies
On city streets
And they were lost
But they're found
Through our song
Told for so long
I have been a tear in the air
I have been the dullest of stars
I have been a word among all the letters
I have been a book ranging far
I have been a light of lanterns
I have been a strong wooden bridge
Over threescore rivers standing on the ledge
I have been a wolf, been an eagle
Been a coracle in seas
And I have been a drop in the shower
Been a sword in the grasp
Been a shield in the battle
Been a string in the harp!
