Calico Jack

John Rackham (December 26, 1682 – November 18, 1720), commonly known as Calico Jack, was an English pirate captain operating in the Bahamas and in Cuba during the early 18th century. His nickname was derived from the calico clothing that he wore, while Jack is a nickname for "John". Rackham was active towards the end (1718–1720) of the "Golden Age of Piracy" which lasted from 1650 to 1725. He is most remembered for having two female crew members: Mary Read and his lover, Anne Bonny. You! Standing at the back, don't look at your shoes
Parked on the hard shoulder with your beer getting colder
I can see you looking from the stage
But you can't help but stare, when a band's got groove like us
You feel the bass in your hip but you say you wanna skip?
Don't you know you wanna dance right now?
Just start to groove
Get me back to the groove
Baby, you! Know that you wanna shake
I can see it in your face
Your words they lie you don't wanna stay inside eat Chinese food, c'mon!
What you mean, stay clean, you can't detox from good times
Trust me honeybee, let's dive in, soon you'll see why we like to swim

They've become dependent
On substances not meant
For human consumption, you'll see
But in here it's tribal
The grinding is primal
Let go and just feel the beat

I'll show you how
Let me tell you baby
How to feel right
Don't be so crazy
Sober ain't an option tonight
I'm worn out
Don't make me shout
Get me back to the rhythm and the groove
Get me back to the groove

Baby girl
I see you lurking over there
Hidin' with your alcopop
Why don't you come and share?
I see you starin' at a fella in the middle of the night
Wanna make a little move but you're stuck with fright
To make him have a good time, don't shake your behind
Face to face and find the space and dictate groove
Get me back to the groove

Communicate your direction
And make your selection
He'll follow and then he's your own
The beat's coursin' in you
Electric, you're wet through
Aren't you glad you didn't stay at home?

I'll show you how
Let me tell you baby
How to feel right
Don't be so crazy
Netflix ain't an option tonight
Twist. And Turn
And get me back to the rhythm and the groove

Stop! You're up in your head not feeling instead, that's no way to live
Keep your feet in the game and forget about your shame, on my word get ready: GET DOWN!
Gotta be strong, gotta be long, gotta be good to get the gaze of fellas in the corner looking jealous at the baller
Stop right there. It's gotta be different every time, never predict what I could find, take a solo unwind
Play that guitar
Get me back to the groove
Take it down
