I recall a time when all I had to do was cry out

Then I saw so many things I thought I had to try out
Crawled across the line between dependency and greed

Fumbled through my mid-life crisis; found out just how high the price is

I've been lost. I've been found. Been on top. I've been down
I woke up terrified to be alone
Solitude seems now inviting. Quiet time outweighs exciting
Questions beg the answers that I've known

I think back on yesterdays; it's scary how they've flown by
