It's the idea that maybe there won't be another chance
That if we f*ck it up now we might be doomed
So take the right stance

Atoll nations like Tuvalu, Kiribati, the Marshall Islands, are already suffering the impacts of climate change and sea level rise
And are predicted by many of total extinction if nothing is done urgently
This cannot and must not be allowed to happen

You keep equating coal with economic turmoil
You gotta recognise the future needs a change of style

We need a measured transition away from fossils
'Cause the repercussions are colossal
You can't have growth when your technology is archaic
So what needs to be done?
I'll say it
We need to slowly phase out fossils fuels including coal
And move toward our target set in the Kyoto Protocol
As a bare minimum
We really should do more
We've got commitments to our neighbours that we can't ignore
But a good start would be to not act like such a buffoon in parliament
That's the basis of my argument
