Sofia ( SOH-fee-ə, SOF-, soh-FEE-ə; Bulgarian: Со́фия, translit. Sofiya, IPA: [ˈsɔfijə] (listen)) is the capital and largest city of Bulgaria. The city is at the foot of Vitosha Mountain in the western part of the country.
