What A World
Deborah Allen, Mabon Teenie Hodges, Roger Cook

What A World
What A World
Oh What A World this could be
I would be for you baby Just as sure as as you would be for me

When I turn on the TV Makes me wanna shake my head
I listen to the news
And I wanna stay in bed But I gotta get to work Gotta get my babies fed I understand it now
Just what my Papa said

What A World
What A World
Oh What A World this would be
If we could all get along Try not to disagree Everybody's nervous Suspicious all the time Fraid to talk to strangers In case they cross the line
Makes me kind'a angry Make me awful sad What on Earth's the matter
Have we all gone mad

What A World
What A World
Oh What A World this should be
Open up your mind
And your heart will set you free
(Set me free... awe... )

Instrumental (fun, beautiful, earthy, real life, whatever)

What A World
What A World
Oh What A World this can be
I'll bring your coffee to ya baby
Just as sure as you would bring my tea

When we fuss and fight Just pushes us apart
All those hurtful words Just serve to break our hearts
Love and only Love
Can bring us to our knees
We could learn a lesson From the birds and the bees

What A World
What A World
Oh What A World this will be
I'll be for you always baby
Just as sure as you will be for me

What A World
What A World
Oh What A World this will be

What A World
What A World
What A World
Ooooh What A World!

It really doesn't matter Red and yellow black n'white
We're just human bein's Different as day n' night But if you trace your hist'ry
Back to Adam n' Eve Everybody's here
Just one night family

What A World
What A World
Oh What A World this could be
We're all kin to one another
Yeah... that's my philosophy

After all this time
Things are changin' for a change
We're finally breakin' free
Castin' off the chains

We've made it down the river
Now we've reached the open sea
I give my thanks to Heaven
For this dream I loved to see

What A World
What A World
Oh What A World this will be

Oh What A World
What A World
Oh mmm hmmm
