Anasol Escobar (born November 5, 1976) known professionally as Anasol is a Colombian pop singer. Anasol's father was a student of astrology, and before she was born, he declared his daughter would be an artist and must be born closer to the sun. That's why the Colombian family traveled to Buenos Aires, Argentina, for her birth and why she is named Anasol or "Daughter of the Sun." Born Anasol Escobar, the future pop singer grew up primarily in Colombia but often traveled, soaking in the cultures of Italy, Portugal, Brazil, and Spain. College life was filled with music studies and working on writing her own music.
