Well I used to be a French conquistador
I'd be dancing around all day
I would drink with the boys and make all the noise
And be so happy and gay
And I used to be a Spanish-Russian poet
And sing of all the oppression
I used to be everything, I know it
And they came in quick succession
I melted away as a Hellenistic
A Roman, a Tyrrhenian too
A Trojan horse and a pig in shit
And a trouble making didjeridoo
Now I'm spinning around as a troubadour
But maybe my course may soon change
I would love to be singing of mi amore
And not to fade away with old age

But while the suns spritely
And the rhythm never fades
While my soul ignites me
I'm gonna struggle through the day to day

To Havana
Or Espana
I'll drag my own little toes
All around the world
With my only girl 
I'll trickle through the cracks in the road
