Here creeps the hunger
Here creeps the thirst
It'll feed you war
But it'll starve you first
Oh warbird
You're such a pretty little thing

Now here stands the tyrant
Here walks the master of death
This soil is now rotten, the air tainted by its 
Toxic breath
In time we will learn
That even blood can taste sweet
As it hordes for itself, laying waste and gorging
On deceit

Now here crawls the liar
Grotesquely warped, from out of the fire
Prised on hind legs, itching to kill
For want of remiss
This war was lost long before this
These seeds were planted long ago

It's the one who stands between us
Here comes the warbird

All hail this prophet 
As here sees the siege
It'll fan the flames of war only to
Deaden the breeze
This thing rules over fire
But doesn't reign over me
Its mind cannot penetrate 
What the eyes cannot see

Here marks the end
That has well-greased the gears of war
Now here in this ruin
It sits as the lord of all
There are shells in this bunker
As it slaughters the herds
Make way for its sin
That claims the heavens and earth

I don't need to walk
A mile in your shoes to know how you work
As mysterious as you think you are
An assault of the mind
And on both body and spirit, forced to leave love behind
Still we can't breech whatever this is

There's no forest for trees
Until we see it burn
We hold to one crime and despise another
Until the damage is done
But don't be fooled by chaos
There are no Gods here in war
It just loves the attention
Like a drunk loves a whore

It'll feed us its lies 
And we will praise its honesty
War is the product of a careless
Democracy
We saw it lurking, we saw the signs
As it takes us by the hand
Like a child lead astray

You steal the scene
Evil sticks like blood to a name
You've had your dose, now it's time you move on
It's dressed to kill
Behind a suit its pen has you bent to its will
And it fights dirty, with money
