And I'm sorry for the time I spent
When away, I can't find my grip
But as time moves by, I miss times like this
And I've realized not to just strive for the good old days

And I took a break for a while to gather myself
But honestly I went down hill
Cause' holding back content is holding back progress
So I just let all that's inside of me spill
I've been on the edge 
Living my life with regret
Living my life full of stress
And I know it's bad for me, I'm such a pessimist
I just flush all of them thoughts out my head
Be like you, I [reach to be like yourself
But really, I'm not even me
I hide my feelings through lower case i's and the black heart emoji so nobody sees
Confused as to why I think I'm not enough
Because I've got tons of ya'll showing me love
But I'm still a pessimist, I'm not impressed with this
I'm doing my best to learn that because
Though you don't know a fraction of what it'd be like
To walk in my shoes I won't ask that you try
Cause' you've got your own situation you're dealing with
I don't know what's going on in your life
Neither does anyone else that may try
Just stay true to you and the one in the sky
Heavenly Father, I pray that you're with me tonight
And shine, through thus music, your light
I give you my life

And I pray that you help me to glorify your name
