Barefoot Gen (はだしのゲン, Hadashi no Gen) is a Japanese historical manga series by Keiji Nakazawa. Loosely based on Nakazawa's own experiences as a Hiroshima survivor, the series begins in 1945 in and around Hiroshima, Japan, where the six-year-old boy Gen Nakaoka lives with his family. After Hiroshima is destroyed by atomic bombing, Gen and other survivors are left to deal with the aftermath. It ran in several magazines, including Weekly Shōnen Jump, from 1973 to 1987. It was subsequently adapted into three live action film adaptations directed by Tengo Yamada, which were released between 1976 and 1980. My mind gets lost at the break of dawn
And oh my, seems I haven't sleep at all
(Let me fucking sleep)
And all day sing the birds and that loud ass train
So I get off my ass and join with them
(More to do now)
Where we gonna go? Where we gonna go?
Where we gonna go? Tell me, imma rap it slow
Imma rap it slow
Imma rap it slow
(So you can understand)
Imma rap it slow
Gone in the moment
(I'm dead)
I don't see, no, I don't see no more, c'mon and brace yourself we taking it home
(C'mon, go 'head)
Grabbing arms, grabbing legs, I'm a wreck
(Get the f*ck off of me)
Hold my neck, to protect what is loss when I think l'm above of this shit
Why you say, "f*ck my life," when life is fucking you, bitch?
Why you say, "f*ck my life," when life is fucking you, bitch?
Why you say, "f*ck my life," when life is fucking yo bitch?
Why you say, "f*ck my life," when I am fucking yo bitch?
(Are you above of this shit?
You ain't above of the shit)
Living in denial
Something on your mind?
Will you take it high?
Imma take what's mine
(Put it on the wax, put it on the wax, put it on the wax, put it on the wax)
Take all these foes down
Don't skirt too close to the sun now
I wanna menage
I wanna menage
I wanna menage
I wanna menage
We fell in with an Eno
The memory of an airport
We can’t quite remember
December or November, remember…
Me by your side fighting
Right in my ride sliding
Riding to rah rah rah
(Running on Henny rock
Running on xanny raw)
Now race towards a good death because this
Old laid out mess of progress won't end anytime soon
Don't wanna see you stumbling on the line, stumble on the line
Dreaming of lost love and seeing everything, everything in black, white and red
How far? How many days?
How many days?
