This is 'bout the time when I would talk throughout the night
Feeding them with all the bars, they gotten bigger appetites
Talking 'bout the problem that I have that I would always fight
So I'm telling all about it and I hope it makes it right
I been driving down this path, should I turn the steering wheel?
Should I drive it off a cliff so that the problem would get killed?
I been reading bout this obstacle I face and how I feel
So I write about it all in hopes that I be getting healed

Just because you write about it don't mean anything
Do something else about it instead of writing it into existence
You gotta make it into existence, you know what I mean?
What'd you write down anyway?

I had wrote on the left, that I'm facing on a threat
So I'm using every letter on this fucking alphabet
Let me tell you I been tired, and that I been feeling weak
Had me talking right above I'm getting answers so to speak
Tell me 'bout the things that I would need to know right now
So I know I'm in the path where I be feeling good by now
There is always something I can do to feel unique
There is not a cure but there is one solution that I seek

Lights out, these are out of my control
My route, what I ride with every role
Work around, I'll revolve around the night
I control what I would do, either stay down or I fight

Alright, this what you need to know
What you gotta do is to build strength on tolerating it
The more you deal with it, the easier it is it will be for you
You just gotta keep on doing it over and over and over 
And you can never stop or run away from it

Ain't no way to deal with it when you ain't even near
Ain't no way you would confront the problem when you disappear
You can't solve a damn problem when you always run away from it
You can solve a problem when you put your damn weight on it
Stepping on the land, where you wait to be informed
That you gotta stay there till the madness coming with a storm
You been swimming in the sea, where you feel it would behave
Then you see a mountain coming, realize that it's a wave, aye
Take a blow, those are all the hits you gotta take
Just confront it no resisting don't you dare and hesitate
More you take 'em, more you getting used to it in every way
Until you're prepared to face on what is in the alleyway, aye
Fear is just a choice, but the danger's very real
There is nothing to be scared of till the problem's what you feel
But then fear is stopping you, from confronting what you need
Cause it's easy saying no whenever fear had to mislead you

Fear is just a choice, so we can choose not to be afraid
And as simple as that sounds, it takes practice to do it right
Tell you what, it's easy to feel overwhelmed when you got a lot
But for now...

Take it one day at a time, just stop thinking long term
Take it one day at a time, that is none of your concern
When I'm thinking real deep, gotta stop and live right now
So I focus up on what I'm doing, couldn't think by now
I been living through the night, while I'm sleeping in the day, aye
All that's got to change so I been trying to stay awake
I just want to see the sun, living under light and day
I been wanting real change feel like it is underway, hey

If you don't want to be scared of the dark, you must be one with darkness itself
You got to take control of it, then you can take full control of yourself

Need to have a balance facing everything in life
When you got some tape you need a balance with a pocket knife
Every time there something's wrong, you will soon feel very right
When you're in the dark, you need to have a balance with some light
If you do not have it then you're ceasing to exist
You be choosing single-sidedness without a single twist
I had thought that I was right, I just wanted to insist
That I only wanted good without darkness I resisted

Everything has a balance in this world, even down here
There's always a cost to everything that's good, no matter where, when, or what it is
But just remember, when times feel like it's at its darkest
That means that the brighter times are soon to follow
Because the night is always darkest just before...
