File Thirteen

"File 13" is a euphemism for the trash can. The phrase is especially used in the U.S. military, and is less common outside of the United States. In the United Kingdom, for instance, the expression "round file" or "circular file" is more common (in reference to trash cans typically being round). Many Unix-like operating systems have a similar reference known as /dev/null. That's when a child ran through my freaking sandcastle!

Me and my buddies all jumped in our van
I yelled, "Hit that kid as hard as you can!"
Chased that boy for nearly a mile
With fury in our eyes, and panic in the child's

"Accelerate!"
He drove away
Our big van snapped his right leg

The kid limped on back to his mom
Who screamed, "I've called the cops, and you better run!"
The police arrived, the situation grew hotter
"You're all wanted for vehicular manslaughter"

Felonies?
Oh, jeez!
I just want my sandcastle back

"Listen officers, you don't understand"
"That kid destroyed our palace of sand"
"How about if you let us go for free?"
"We'll build you a sandcastle as a peace treaty"

He agreed!
That's sweet!
We built a new castle, though it wasn't easy

As the officer approached to put the flag on top
He tripped over his his fortress and his gun went off!
The bullet struck the van's gas tank
And with a loud boom, engulfed everyone in flames

Burning flesh!
Lots of death!
And everyone died!
