Fly across the place where the ocean meets the land
Further east you go across the yellow sand
Onward still you fly 'til the rainfall peters out
Where the yellow turns to red, grasses turn to drought

Black man called this place 'place of little water'
At first impression that might seem true
But look a little harder in to another realm
Although there is no rain its a place of living water

This is the place of living water, flowing from the border
Of heaven down on us, soaking sacred ground
In the place of living water I'll be found

This is where I'm from, sometimes I wonder why
When you pull your shoulders back and look into the sky
Clouds above they pass and you realise
There's less rain on the ground than is in your eyes

But next time you turn the tap, just you stop and think
Take all that you can and still you need to drink
