There's a bug on the wall beside my free lamp
I killed him last week and this week named him Frank
I had a boss named Frank. He was a fuckwit
He looked like a cartoon ghost who liked to eat kids
And writing that line, I made myself laugh
This poor bug on the wall and I are having a blast

Harsh marks by the linen cupboard on the shiny part of the floor
Deep breaths within the empty room where I slept each night before
A dark mark upon the counter top from something far too hot
And a panic attack at Christmas time and then work at nine o'clock

The first few nights were a bit rough
But she told me she cried for one fourth of a month
And I gotta say, that made me feel better
About leaving on lights at night to avoid my reflection
And if you stop and listen to the sound of a house
You'll start naming dead bugs just to know who's around
