Siderian

The Siderian Period ( ; Ancient Greek: σίδηρος, romanized: sídēros, meaning "iron") is the first geologic period in the Paleoproterozoic Era and lasted from 2500 Ma to 2300 Ma (million years ago). Instead of being based on stratigraphy, these dates are defined chronometrically. The deposition of banded iron formations peaked early in this period. These iron rich formations were formed as anaerobic cyanobacteria produced waste oxygen that combined with iron, forming magnetite (Fe3O4, an iron oxide). This process removed iron from the Earth's oceans, presumably turning greenish seas clear. Eventually, with no remaining iron in the oceans to serve as an oxygen sink, the process allowed the buildup of an oxygen-rich atmosphere. This second, follow-on event is kno… more »

Collapsing mass collected in the centre
Condensing matter warms the fire
For the arrival of a new born star
Protoplanetary cloud of matter
Circulates and spreads across a parsec
Millions upon millions of collisions
Slowly grows the plantesimal clump

Evolutionary history charts the rise of life
Change across the generations leads us to the now

Giant impact sends matter into orbit
Coalesce forming the lunar partner
Stabilise the axis of rotation
Liquid water provided the movement
Rise of earliest known life forms
Setting down of sedimentary layers
Split between bacteria and archaea
Photosynthesizing organisms
Cyanophyta oxidising iron
Hurricanes they stimulate the process
Forming of the ozone layer
Tectonics beginning of subduction
Renew the crust of Earth that we all live on
Arrival of the Cambrian explosion
Accelerated diversification

Evolutionary history charts the rise of life
Change across the generations leads us to the now

Origins; the point at which something begins
Origins; conception, creation

First land plants and global glaciation, microbial life on land
Tetrapods emerge and leave the water, divergence of the phyla bands.

Evolutionary history charts the rise of life
Change across the generations leads us to the now

It's taken so much
Just to get us here
We're soon to destruct
