Jesus walked on earth
As a carpenter
Using wood and hammer
Chisel, saw and nail
But His true reason
For coming to earth
Was to build a kingdom
That would never fail

Then He told them of a place
Where He was going
To build them a mansion
For all eternity

Then up there on Calvary's hill
He built a doorway
Just using rough timber
And three rusty nails
And through this doorway
That He provided
We can now enter
His kingdom
That never fails

Jesus walked on earth
As a great prophet
Preaching that truth and love
Would someday prevail 
And all those that would
Truly believe it
